Kanban Methodology

Description

Kanban is a method to optimize production processes – from those of intangible, innovative, and creative products to those focused on the production of more traditional products. It enables rapid and targeted change within organizations, reducing resistance and producing significant improvements aligned with strategic objectives. Kanban follows the pragmatic approach of “start from what you do now”: unlike traditional change management methods based on a radical approach aimed at achieving a new production structure regardless of the starting situation, Kanban begins with the “as-is” scenario and uses the Lean paradigm to pursue incremental and continuous improvement of the workflow by eliminating waste and bottlenecks. Kanban helps us control the workflow, balancing what is truly necessary to produce with the real delivery capacities of the system, using a system of “visual signals” to make visible and tangible what would otherwise be intangible and difficult to manage. Using Kanban allows you to:

Kanban is inspired by the principles of agile software development, the theory of constraints, and the principles of the Toyota Production System.
